Prior to Carolina's preseason game against Buffalo on Thursday, the two met at midfield.

Cam Newton wasn't about to let Kelvin Benjamin's critical comments about him slide. Benjamin answered questions about the exchange by saying he was "moving on", although when asked what Newton said to him, Benjamin responded, "I don't know".

It appears Kelvin Benjamin and Cam Newton won't be squashing their beef anytime soon.

When it became clear Benjamin wasn't over their squabbling, Newton ushered away a Bills player for privacy, but Benjamin walked away from the conversation.

As for Russian and United States relations now , things are a bit contentious, to say the least. He has previously hung out with Russian President Vladimir Putin, a fellow martial arts fan.

Newton made a decision to approach Benjamin, who didn't seem inclined to talk, prior to the game.

Benjamin had plenty to say in an interview that came out last Saturday, calling his tenure in Carolina a "bad fit from the get-go" and speculating he might have been more successful had he played with "any other quarterback". Nothing to see here, just a few position battles. Benjamin was traded to Buffalo during the season past year.

Things likely won't get much better for Benjamin in Buffalo, as he'll be catching passes from either A.J. McCarron, Josh Allen or Nathan Peterman.

For those who haven't heard, Benjamin didn't hold back in his public criticism of his former teammate.
