According to police, officers responded to a possible sighting of 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts on Thursday, July 26, at a truck stop in their jurisdiction. Add Missing Iowa Woman as an interest to stay up to date on the latest Missing Iowa Woman news, video, and analysis from ABC News.

"Everybody has a Mollie, a person that has changed your life in such a huge way and that's in everybody's lives". "I don't know that I have the strength in me, and Mollie's lending me her strength".

"We believe that Mollie is still alive and, if someone has abducted her, we are pleading with you to please release her", said her mother, Laura Calderwood.

The family also praised law enforcement efforts as well as national and global media coverage that has kept Tibbetts' disappearance in the public consciousness. Sgt. Joe Kantola told ABC News that only one individual claims to have seen her. Kearney is just outside of Kansas City, about a three-and-a-half hour drive from Brooklyn, Iowa.

"Imagine if this was you, somebody had taken your Mollie?"

Tibbetts was alone and dog sitting at her boyfriend's house at the time of her disappearance.

Her family and friends are posting flyers, talking to people and doing media interviews to spread awareness about the 20-year-old.

Investigators say they have concluded that a woman spotted in northwest Missouri was not a missing Iowa college student.

Investigators have said previously that they were confident on Tibbetts' digital footprint, but they did not release any information as to where that was. "We are very hopeful with the electronic data we are getting back", Mitch Mortvedt, assistant director of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, previously told the Des Moines Register.

In the meantime, Jack told ABC News he's "just taking it day by day". "Unfortunately, we have not yet found Mollie but it's not because of lack of effort or lack of resources".

The location is more than 230 miles away from where Tibbetts was last seen.
